I have access to my own lab as PhD student. During the weekend, I'd like make my own perfume.

Where should I start? Any resources?

But seriously do you want to make perfume from synthetic compounds or do you want to make it from biological material? Synthetic is way easier if you're a good chemist.

We create new antibodies all the time, don't need a lab for that.

I get pure aroma compounds from pellwall, also you could try cryogenic extractions of scent molecules for something next level. Lots of papers on it, it's essentially extreme distillation.

Whatever you choose, don't forget to add an antioxidant. I recommend producing a simple one yourself, such as dibutylhydroxytoluene. Maybe buy para-cresol in bulk and use that as a starting point. Get a good wiff of it beforehand to check whether it's good.
