>Be me
>2nd grade, literally autistic kid. Little to no friends, unathletic. Didn't like football, cried a lot.
>Go to sleep one night, as normal.
When I was younger, I had this bunkbed that had a top bunk and the bottom bed was perpendicular to it, pic related.
>Me and my dad always used to sleep together, had frequent nightmares as a kid.
>this one experience stands out to all the rest.
>when i woke up, there was a tall dark figure standing in the doorway with a brim hat that was a foot and a half across
>this dude was fucking huge
>not all that scared, had a strangely warm feel to it, not even warm.
>i can tell he just didn't want to hurt me
> i blinked and now he is standing between the ladder to get up to the top bunk and the door way
>hesjuststandingtheremenacingly
>have no idea what to do, so i just kinda mutter to him
"Dad..?"
>he doesn't move, stands for another 5 seconds,
>blink again
>he moved
>fixated on the figure, cant seem to my sight away from him
>call out one more time
"Dad..??"
>this time, he is standing at the base of my ladder
>i can see my dads figure laying down in the bed above me
>still perfectly calm, not shitting bricks or anything
> the figure starts to move his arm, and points at the head of the bed where my dad is
>he is just standing there, pointing at my dad
I dont remember anything after that. My dad is alive and well so I dont think it could have been a grim reaper or something. Years later, I was talking with family friends and somehow it got brought up in conversation. Turns out one of them actually had a dad who had a similar experience, tall guy, flat brim hat. Even now when I think about it, it wasn't really scary.
