Are you me? With that difference that I am just deciding what field I will be studying this year. I have been visiting IT and networking school for the past 4 years with an above average results. Now I am 18 y.o and completely understand what you are talking about.
It sucks your soul, hours of developing codes, studying pc architectures, networking and electronic. I am deciding between giving it a shot at a uni but only in nontheoretical direction (software engineering most likely) or going completely nuts and go for psychology, forensic psychologist could be pretty good job. CS lacks verbal interaction and speech, which I adore, also guys in the field are completely autistic or maximal chads, who cheat every time they get a chance to. I am also aware of that constant learning of principles, new software which is necessary for IT guy of he wants to be valuable in the future.
What disappoints me is that I did not get any other knowledge such as bio or chem besides stuff around tech and math..
