i have a swelling here for half a year with absolutely no pain

no matter what i do i cant provoke pain

what could it be? the swelling is obvious when i compare it with my other hand

When I had the Dequervain's it was the total opposite, no swelling, but incredible pain.

Basically yeah, and it's harmless. It can be punctured and evacuated, but it builds up again eventually. You can get it out, but I don't think it's worth the hassle.
