many of the code examples are WRONG BY DESIGN.
it goes as: "we want to do 'x', so we code 'y'

however 'y' does not actually work, so we will come back to this later"
so if you are a beginner and you flip to some random page, there is a good chance that whatever code you are looking at does not actually do what it is supposed to.
it is a good book, but i would recommend Deitel for beginners.

any decent calculus-based mechanics/e&m book is a good place to start for physics. it doesn't matter if you choose the "best" book according to a chinese vaginal taxidermy discussion forum, it matters that you read the book and do the exercises regularly. that is the only thing that matters.
