Ok, so I was making some experiments to make good sprites (not pixel garbage) in a fast time, try to cheap their production.

I drew in 800x800 doing a simple sketch of azuka using a reference that took 5 minutes to draw.
Then I painted in another layer the colors and shadow.

Then I exported the lineart with white background, opened in GIMP, downscaled it using Laczos algorithm, a bit of Level to darken, limited pallethe to 5 colors.
Then I exported the color layer, opened with GIMP, dowscale with nearest neightbor to preserve hard edges.
Then I copied the drawing layer, set to value mode, deleted the white of the layer, flatten image then limit pallethe to 16 colors.

It took the process around 35 minutes total, but I am really happy about it.
It would need a bit of cleaning, but I am happy to discover a method to cheaply produce non shit tier pixel art.
