>>4062245That's what I like about /ic/ (and beginners in general). You tell them what to do, they don't like what you tell them and they do things there own way. They stay into their comfort zone for years and one day they realize they can't do anything and get hit by depression.
Yes, you can try some Loomis lessons, do gesture drawing, learn perspective, forms, colors, and whatever you want. Actually, you should try things as much as you can.
But if you start with that mindset of yours, you will only seek for shortcuts and end up in troubles.
That being said, I understand that there is a serious lack of professionnals showing where those basic excercises lead you through time.
