For example one of the best anons at /beg/ once redlined a Jeanne D'Alter to make her more anatomically correct not knowing he was changing her face too much and she no longer looked like Jeanne. Good intentions but not everyone produces the same kind of art. If you listened to him for example you'd end up making a great Wonder Woman but wondering why Fate fans hate your art.
That's just a small example that stuck out to me, but when other people recommend you some changes to certain things because "it looks better", you gotta decide if that's what you want.

But the artist didn't try replicating the exact same drawing. Maybe he could do the left one even better now with the same clothes and faces, but the style in Pokemon games simply changed.
