Basically that other anon was right, it's an obnoxious trend itself, not just the art.
I can't connect to that people because yes I like art and anime and that shit, but precisely because I like that I don't connect at all with delinquents and more outgoing people.
These fuckers are mixing a nerd hobby with thug tendencies so I don't know who are they supposed to be friends with. Thugs don't really tolerate the anime shit, ironic or not, and nerds like me aren't going to smoke pot and interact with tattooed people talking about suicide. I guess they're fine talking between each other, sadboys and sadgirls.
Now getting back on topic, the people who share that art aren't just those sadzoomers. I've seen regular otaku do it because they think it makes anime look acceptable and casual but I think it just looks tryhard.
Still sometimes I'm tempted to do it, as long as it gets me the normalfag likes.
