>>3823686>what does the ideal girl you wish to draw look like? She looks like this girl I used to have a major crush on, that I still haven’t totally gotten over. The moment I saw her, she was like perfect to me. It’s pathetic though, cause we never met irl. We used to DM on a forum and Skype for hours into the night like 4years ago. Obviously it didn’t work out, but it’s funny, she’s the person with whom I’ve felt the most genuine and authentic connection to. Despite the distance, we used to talk a lot, and pretty much shared our entire lives with each other, which kinda bums me out since we really don’t talk at all anymore. I know a lot of it is projection of my “ideal” girl over her, filling in the the gaps, but well, that’s what you’re asking, isn’t it?
Everything from her style, to her appearance, to her race (half French, half Japanese), to her personality, to her hobbies and tastes, were a 100% perfect match, to what I kinda like in a girl.
Also, I’ve drawn the character who looks like her btw. And no, I won’t be posting the character, nor a photo of her for the sake of keeping this confession anonymous.
She’s seen the character though, I showed it to her and asked her if she was cool with letting me use her likeness in my projects. She said she was more than happy to be of any help on my path to success. She’s actually the person who encouraged me to pursue art as a career. Back before I could draw well, she would look at my shitty drawings, and she really liked them. When I told her I was considering dropping uni to focus on art, she told me I should because art was clearly my passion, and that I had a lot of latent talent for it. So I did.
Anyway, yeah. That’s the story. It’s a shame things didn’t work out, but that’s the way life is. Now she’s more like a clear model that defines my ideal girl in some way really.
