Here's something even better. Get a collection of wooden forms(cube,sphere,cylinder, etc) draw them at any/every angle. Try to draw the insides as well. Combine some even, complicate it the more advance you get. Once you do that over and over, you will unlock the ancient powers of kim jung the gi and construct whatever you want right out the anals of your imagination

Oh it gets worse, I was trying to remember shoulder width so i pop open Loomsi the other day, and I realized that I never see anyone referencing any of it. No pages posted, no, Hey look at this section in the book.
I don't think the vast majority of people hear have even looked at it.

The vast majority of people have not read more than a few pages of any of his books and fewer less have drawn any of the stuff therein to foster a better understanding and both of these groups will go on to blame Loomis for their failure and praise others without properly studying them either. This is the absolute worst board on this site lmoa

His material is alright, and his blurbs on art are quite good. The problem is in how he's chosen to present it. He's referred to as the end all be all starting point for absolute beginners (see: Fun with a Pencil) where he's pretty much assuming you can already construct and think of things three dimensionally to some degree. He's really not good as a starting point. On top of that, he works with a style and aesthetic that was prominent several decades ago which may not appeal to every reader.

Keep in mind that Loomis is quasi "free" I know on 4chan everything is "free" if you can find it, but The copyrites holder on Loomis has let Fun with a pencil and Loomis figure drawing slip into public domain. So you can just google a pdf
