One, it's not that hard to spot. The cool thing is that the more dark pixel spots are mixed within the purple ones tricks the eye into thinking there are dark hues of purple in there when it's only just one.

Pretty sure there are two shades of purple - one bright and one dark. The shades in between are a result of dithering.

If your eye is not really good at distinguishingcolors this much purple near just pure black leaves like some purple fog on it. Usually females are really good and distinguishing things like this.

There's probably two shades of color and one black, but on my monitor I see two blues and two purples and a black because the viewing angles are so shit even when viewed straight on.
I'd rather draw on a desaturated 6-bit panel than this, but right now I don't have much of a choise.
