Why is lineart in PS so shit?
does anyone have a explanation why the devs can't make lineart run remotely closer to lets say, a program made 15years ago by some jap that can run even in a toaster? ( Sai )

Is there any explanation why they still try to force us to pay subscription cancer with useless updates instead of fixing their shitty lineart?

That's what you have custom brushes for, dumbass. There is literally no brush in any other program that you couldn't create in PS. The only thing these other programs have over PS is stabilizer, which is a crutch, not a tool.

beginners like you need to realize that nobody gives a shit about super smooth and perfect lineart. In fact, that tends to look digital and fake as fuck. Just learn to draw well. Good fundamentals, then no matter what minor imperfections there are due to the software or brush you used, people will like it and in fact many beginners will look up to you and start asking for what brush and software you were using because they want to emulate those imperfections, thinking that's what makes your work look good. There are literally beginners on /ic/ who asked how to emulate a MSPaint 1 pixel brush because some skilled japanese artists were drawing with it.

-cloud library is great if you need to share art assets with other people who also use adobe and you can link photos/files through there instead of from your hard drive/computer
-typekit is one of the best ways to find good fonts
-all CC versions of the programs are infinitely better than their older counterparts. Newer versions can be glitchy when they first release it, but they eventually fix the bugs and add genuinely good and practical features that people who work in the industry asked for
-you can download add ons from their website, so the choice if up to you and its convenient/easy to find

Bascially, photoshop is not just used for painting and drawing, brainlet.

Are you literally retarded? Photoshop does have drawing and painting capabilities, but it has far more photo editing functions and works well with Lightroom and Bridge. Adobe created a photo editing program that also happens to be a decent digital painting tool since some functions overlap.

there is a smoothing setting for brushes in PS if you need it. You can find Thousands of brushes to pick from with different qualities, even from other creators if u dont like the presets, or make your own. And just practice drawing better lines. Your irl paint brush doesnt have settings but people make great shit with it anyways.

The brush being a foot long and the bristles bending is essentially maxed out stabilization. The real problem with PS is that other programs like CSP make editing and smoothing lines a priority. You can draw some lines, convert to vector, connect them with a tap, move them a bit, smooth out the line weight, and create a flat layer for coloring in 30 seconds. The problem isn't the brush or stabilization, it's that PS was never designed for this kind of work.
