Long story short, I spent about 10 hours rendering a piece of art in PS CC 2017 and my computer bluescreened with a kernel error and I only had one sai2 backup taken about 2 hours into the artwork. I tried to find my PS recovery files in the temp autorecover folder and there was fucking nothing there. I tried to open the crashed PS file and reached an end of the file location. I tried to open the PSD in SAI2 and found the file corrupted. The thumbnail of the psd was absolutely fucked.

I tried to open the PSD in Clip Studio and it opened it without complaint and recovered all of the data except for one layer which it recovered as a plain layer of yellow. It also lost the lineart layer but I can recover that one easily from the SAI2 document.

That was a narrow miss lads.
