>>99611834Alright, I said I was going to post my opinions. I though it'd be more productive to write out what I thought rather than shitpost about how butthurt I am. So lets start with what good the show has.
-GOOD
Megabyte's VA: I'm not a huge fan of Megabyte's remodel, but it works for the most part. He sounds decent until he begins to try and add any form of inflection to his voice. Otherwise he was a passable character, nothing that could replace the original, but passable.
Hexadecimal: I'm going to give TGC credit for at least one thing. They nailed Hex. She resembles the same character that she was pre-season 3 and sounds just as good. My only real complaint is that she doesn't do anything after shes first introduced. She shows up, and basically piggy backs with Megabyte. More so the fault of the writers for not giving her anything to do, but more on that later.
The IRL Actors: The human characters aren't half bad, but they suffer the same problem as Hex. Although they have the capability to do things, the writers never take any opportunities to flesh out the characters with any meaningful interactions. Aside from that, they have the potential to be good, but that potential is never really realized.
-BAD
The Writing: And this is where everything good about the show comes to a screaming halt. Even the episode where the original cast of characters make an appearance is sent to shit because of it. Not even Bob, Dot, Enzo, and Friskit (who has adopted corgi proportions for some reason) can bring light to the diarrhea dumpster fire that is the writing. The main problem is the fact that whoever is writing this show just doesn't seem to put any effort into what they're doing. There is no rising action, there is no real climax, and in the end there is nothing of meaning resolved. The plot of the episodes are literally just dumped as exposition within the first 3 minutes of the show.
Hang on I'm reaching the character limit. I've still got more.
