look, there are PROFESSIONAL cosplayers that are just like MODELS, and while I agree that this kind of practice kinda ruins that romantic oldschool way of thinking that everyone should cosplay for fun and for roleplay, it's not the end of the world, unless you are again't any sort of modeling at all, you can't blame people for this
yes, this thread looks like fap bait (but not as much as the other we had early this week that was LITERALLY made for fap and I'm not here for the fap, I'm more for the qt+technical quality). consider it like a vogue catalog, it doesn't hurt.
cosplay now is a business, you gotta deal with it.
regardless, it's not like the "noble cosplay" is dead, people still do it for fun, with low budget or using what they can, more serious cosplayers still join competitions (that usually involves performance as a big factor) and people also just casually goes, like, using a hat and a weapon from determined character, not the full armor + dye + lens, because they just want to have fun with their friends, if you talk to these people, they will surely share their experience and why they like this determined character and etc
