>>917696269/10, only because there wasn't enough 'action'. a fan of this show had almost literal orgasms throughout, so many callbacks from over a decade ago, done in ways you wouldn't expect. it was memorable, touching, hype and a little bit melancholy, with the samurai facing his 'final challenge'.
when the meme of 'kino' comes up, its meant to be some play, a fun way of saying something was good. This episode of Samurai Jack was great, spectacular. The only way you didn't like this episode would be because you haven't seen a single one before 2017.
Literally star wars could learn something about callbacks from this episode. There were probably a half dozen, but each felt organic, like each of the stories commenced past where the Samurai left them. They were their own people, living out lives thanks to Jack, in constant reminder of his deeds. It wasn't just 'oh see remember these guys, wasn't it quirky when they came on set?!', every interaction with Ashi felt important, sparked neurons that haven't fired in over a decade.
If you've watched every episode of Samurai Jack, this one is a perfect score. Literally dare you to find a fault.
