EEnE had an immeasurable amount of GOAT jokes, fantastic slapstick and a cavalcade of quotable lines. Watch the show again and observe the perfect timing a lot of the jokes had, some of which you never would caught as a child.
The characters, though simple in concept are very memorable because of the talented voice work and the surprisingly complicated personalities some (especially the Ed's themselves) have. Even during the "back to school" seasons where the show started to lose itself, it still had plenty of memorable moments and jokes. Some episodes I dare put on my favorite episodes list like A Fistful of Ed for example.
And do I even have to mention the fantastic sound work? The sound effects make certain moments that much funnier.
