Origins
In Zoharistic Kabbalah, she is a queen of the demons and one of four angels who mates with archangel Samael. Samael is the devil, and as I've mentioned in my "Tom is Asmodeus" theory, the devil is the emperor of hell so Asmodeus(Tom) would be related to him in some way. Now, in her tapestry, Eclipsa is seen sitting in the arms of a demon. Could this be the show's representation of Samael? Let's explore further...
Mahlat's companions - The past Queens of Mewni
Her fellow succubi are Lilith, Naamah, and Eisheth. So here's what I'm thinking, Lilith, Naamah, and Eisheth are Queen Moon, Queen Solaria, and Queen Celena the Shy, respectively.
Note: I may do some back story on these three but for now, I mainly want to focus on Eclipsa.
In the Rabbinic literature on the eves of Wednesday and Saturday, she is "the dancing roof-demon" who haunts the air with her chariot and her train of eighteen messengers/Angels of spiritual destruction.
She is also "the mistress of the sorceresses" who communicated magic secrets to Amemar, a Jewish sage.
So she, Agrat/Eclipsa, was a sorceress who communicated or disclosed magic secrets to a non magic being?
Hhmmm... Is this how Toffee knew about the self destruct/Fissure spell that Star's mother told her about - Because his mother told him about it? (You should know I'm leaning towards the idea of either Toffee or Tom being Eclipsa's son, or of them being half brothers - sharing the same father)
