But when it became obvious that wouldn't work (and when he saw it was a robot), he'd be ok with destroying it
Also, unless the T-800 managed to catch him off-guard first with a sneak attack, it probably wouldn't stand a chance. Steven would just have his shield up the whole time while he was trying to dissuade it, and once he realized it wasn't real, he'd either just decapitate it with his shield or throw a car at him.
