>>108534654Red Son - 8/10
While this doesnt say much, Red Son is one of the best Superman books of all time, argubly the greatest Elseworld revolving around the character, considering the world building as well as being one of the rare Superman books to convincingly pull off a more morally gray version of the Man of Steel.
Batman RIP 7/10
Are you referring to Morrison's Batman as a whole or just the RIP storyline? Because Batman RIP is a thoroughly entertaining Grant Morrison head trip, but no where near as good as his run later got with Batman and Robin and Batman Inc.
JM Dematteis's Dr. Fate 3/10
Aside from the annual, I absolutely loathed this run. The new age bullshit peddled in this series could've at least have made the series still tolerable if it wasn't drenched in the hoakey sitcom antics that were in chic with the Justice League titles at the time. Tremendous art by McManus however.
Morrison's X Men 7/10
Contains indisputably some of the greatest story arcs not just of the X Men franchise but of Marvel's entire catalog. However it has its weak storylines, and some truly horrific Igor Kordey art.
Priest's Deathstroke 3/10
The worst type of bad story. Not one that is so bad that it can be enjoyably awful, but merely bad in it's inability to tell a compelling narrative. Boring, overrated dreck.
Gotham Sirens 4/10
Not bad, but not especially great either.
Dini gets confused as a great writer while merely being serviceable due to his level of quality still lightyears ahead of a lot of the garbage DC was publishing at the time.
I haven't read the Doctor Doom and Strange crossover, Marvel Fanfare Black Widow, nor Hickman's FF, unfortunately. Not a big Marvel guy.
