>>107938864>When did Mickey do that and how is that relevant?pic you quoted literally comes from one of the new Mickey cartoons they did in this decade.
It's relevant because it will be geared towards the current viewer trends, it won't be the "unapologetic violence" you are expecting. It will be Calarts tier and politically correct humour, just with a bigger budget and perhaps good animation.
Not sure if you've even seen any of the old Merrie Melodies / Looney Tunes shorts, but they had very sophisticated humour. Bugs himself uses such a colourful vocabulary that you wouldn't even know what half the words mean today. The original shorts were made for theatres in mind, so they were done in significantly higher quality standards in mind. Today, kids expect "ow, my balls!" tier humour in youtube shorts, and writers think making pointless references is the highest form of writing they can achieve to. I very much doubt that this new show will be as clever as the old ones were, though I really hope I get to be proven wrong.
Either way, I have all three volumes of the Golden Oldies, so I'm set. If the new show is great, that's nice, if it's shit, I can still watch the originals with my kids and hope they'll learn English from them just like I did as a kid.
