If the show was an anime, you'd be unironically praising it for it's EVA-tier ending. It was a good ending, albeit pushed a little too fast, but what else can a show creator do when the studio gives you a cutoff for all funding and refuses to let you finish with another season or a TV movie?

They should have reevaluated their choices and writing since they clearly had no common sense with the direction of their show. Serves them right they were refused more seasons after how Season 3 was such a clusterfuck and would have wasted more seasons with aimless bullshit if they were given the greenlight for more than they deserved.
