>>106014894About the show? Watched like the first five minutes and stopped, I just felt there wasn't going to be anything interesting about it. It just looks so uninspired and the set-up is retarded.
I don't even get why they bothered making another MotU cartoon, this franchise has it's roots in dog shit and there's nothing but failed reboots after that.
The original He-Man is quite possibly the worst cartoon ever to actually get popular, it boggles my mind how something so terrible amassed a large fanbase, even if they were stupid kids. Original She-Ra is similar just less popular. The 90's He-Man cartoon seemed to piss off the fanbase for some reason (despite their obviously low standards) and as such I didn't think it was worth checking out. The Live-Action movie is laughable trash, I may consider Dolph Lundgren something of a Swedish national treasure but he couldn't save the movie's idiotic premise or the general shittiness of the production. I have vague memories of watching the 2002 He-Man cartoon as a kid but it never made much of an impression on me, judging from clips and what I remember, it's probably closer to what you'd expect from the bastard child of Conan and Flash Gordon than any other attempt.
And that's it up until the new She-Ra last year in terms of anything outside of comics and rereleased toys. This franchise has been around for nearly 40 years and it has never managed to keep up the momentum. I honestly don't get why they bothered to make yet another cartoon aside from Netflix being cheap whores who'll greenlight anything as long as you let them chop up your seasons into tiny chunks and refer to them as the seasons. It's obvious that the "4 seasons" of this show is just 2 standard length seasons (or possibly 1 really long) that is being dropped in four batches.
Mark my word, this show will end at episode 52.
