>>105743825I see you're still either ignorant about how movie studios make money or are too far Disney's ass that you can't see past their rectum. So here, let me try and educate you some more.
The attached pic is a rough analysis by Deadline as to how much some of the largest blockbusters of 2017 made for their respective studios.
It, which took in less than Spider-Man Homecoming, made 50% more money for WB than Homecoming did for Sony. It made roughly the same amount of money for WB that Ragnarok and GotG2 did for Disney COMBINED.
Of the blockbusters on that list, the MCU movies have the lowest cash on cash return ratios because they're expensive to make. This is Disney's entire strategy. Bet big all the time. And while total domestic and worldwide takes can be impressive, they DO NOT keep all that money.
Any Disney movie that either bombs or has a middling performance an expensive gamble that didn't pay off and has to be subsidized by their bigger hits. And as
>>105743599 says, the ONLY movies that really hit for Disney in 2018 was capeshit. So yes, you can list the grosses of "failures" like Ralph 2, Solo and Mary Poppins and how they stack up with the total grosses for WB's films that year. But there's no fucking way in hell WB would trade their performance this year for Disney's because the odds are very, very, very high that WB actually made much more money than Disney did this year because WB has absolutely zero bombs.
