I was on a Youtube nostalgia binge and came across this old Cartoon Network commercial/promo, and it bothered me a bit
Robin, Booboo, Barney and Morocco are running on about how good it is to be a sidekick, then Chicken comes in and CORRECTLY informs them that he's not a sidekick, but rather a co-star. And then everyone looks at him like he's a fucking retard.
He was RIGHT, though.
Batman, Yogi, Fred Flintstone and Secret Squirrel were the clear stand-out stars of their shows and didn't really need any of their respective sidekicks to carry the show. How the fuck was Cow a star? Who the fuck was gonna watch a Cow-centric show without Chicken? If anything, Chicken was the real star that could carry a spin-off better
