The worst stories are the marriage problem episodes, especially when you realize that if Marge acted like Homer, he would NEVER treat her the way she treats him. The angriest he's ever gotten with her was when she became a gambling addict and broke a promise to Lisa, and even then he immediately forgave her and focused more on helping her.
That said, Marge is genuinely more sympathetic. The show makes a lot of jokes a her expense, she gets called out on her behavior. Her sadness is more often a joke, instead of used to make everyone braise her. Her situation in life is way worse than Lisa's, but she handles it better.
