>>104546707>>104546792Fuck, I haven't seen that since I was a kid. Just went to rewatch it and I didn't realize how hilarious it was. This is one of those cartoons that shows there is importance in the timing of slapstick as well as verbal comedy; everything happens so seamlessly that it makes the audience feel the same kind of whiplash that Spike is feeling. All of the violence is so instantaneous and nonchalant, and Droopy and Drippy's deadpan mannerisms amplify it in contrast. Poor Spike is the best kind of "antagonist", in that his motives are underhanded, but he just unknowingly walked into a total whirlwind of fuckery that he cannot even begin to comprehend. I'm in tears. That's a fucking 10/10 short right there.
