Between the combo combat system (which no other spider-man game had besides 3, and that sucked), the petty crime and random crime system, and the collectibles, and the challenge modes (fighting Calypso and a hoarde of Mysterio's robots) there was plenty to do in a game made in 2004.
Hell, a lot of my fun came from trolling criminals with the spider-sense and spider-reflexes shenanigans. The stairstep ladder kick sending goons in the air, running and falcon punching people, piledriving them off the Empire State, all of that was fun as hell.
