Well, a racist is just a hateful prejudiced person, but that doesn't mean they've actually done anything wrong.

A rapist is actively predatory and has actually comitted a crime. Now, wether you think people can be rehabilitated for serious crimes like rape and murder is another thing.

Rape is much more explicit, and there's no "ignorant but ultimately harmless" form of rape. And you can't really educate someone who rapes or has raped. You can't really change their mind, because they still raped.

A racist can stop being a racist, but a rapist can't really undo a rape.
