>>101673971>I see your point, my point is that theyre both apart of a trend to shows aimed at preschoolersLet us leave hyperbole at the door for a moment. Preschoolers are most assuredly not the target demographic for either of these shows. TTG's typical audience is likely around 7-11 years old (2nd-6th grade) whilst SCI is probably aimed at a slightly younger demo, let's say 6-10 to make things simple. Preschoolers are gonna be watching shows like Doc McStuffins, Dora the Explorer, Little Einsteins, etc. There is a very clear delineation between preschooler entertainment (wherein everything needs to be completely sterile and always teaches either academic, social, or moral lessons), and elementary schooler entertainment (where things can be crude, intentionally stupid, "brain rotting", adventurous, or even relatable). Lemme break it into a short list for your convenience:
>Toddler Shows: Doc McStuffins, Dora, Little Einsteins>"Little" Kid Shows: Arthur, Cyberchase, MLP G2/3>"Big" Kid Shows: Spongebob, Ruby Gloom, MLP G4, Clarence, SCI, TTG>Tween Shows: Adventure Time, Regular Show, Gravity Falls, Star Vs, Steven Universe>Teen - Adult Shows: Family Guy, South Park, Rick & Morty, Big Mouth, Bojack Horseman^Just a few examples to illustrate my point. Ain't no way, no how TTG and SCI are preschool level.
