Midnight also has no date. There is no such thing as midnight May 2nd. No day of the year has midnight. It is the dividing point between days. Noon on the other hand does belong to a day but by definition it cannot be A.M. or P.M. as those terms (translated) mean Before Noon and After Noon respectively. Noon itself cannot be before noon nor can it be after noon. Noon is noon. Right now you're starting to realize just what a weird word noon is.
