I'm not sure how much of a difference it made but I paid attention to moisturising: jojoba oil before stretching and shea butter after, and almost always straight after a shower. (Though throughout the period I made it a habit to, when apropriate, just be continuously pulling and tugging on my foreskin).
For the stretches themselves I'd do them a minute at a time (for the 15 minutes total), usually by pulling my foreskin between a thumb and forefinger of one hand, and applying tension by wrapping further fingers of that hand around my foreskin (pushing the glans downward) and then also "anchoring" the base of my foreskin with my other hand.
I varied my position and hands sometimes to prevent uneven stretching, and I never sought to increase the diameter of the foreskin opening - i didn't want it looser, just longer.
The glans ring I think worked very well - since it sits under the foreskin it just applied continuous gentle stretching, could be worn safely for hours (though I never, and would not recommend, sleeping with it on). It was also large enough thay I could get hard with it on and there be no trouble. (It would slide off if I tried to fuck a fleshlight with it on, for example.
Make sure to get a good steel one if you go that route. Not some mystery chinesium.
