>>2683720Because doctors get thousands of dollars for operations and hormones cost money. It's the truth no matter whether you like it or not. I've been close friends with a few people through pre- and post- transition who were your "ideal" candidates and their mental health and life sharply downgraded after starting hrt. They were passing without an issue, were widely accepted, had everything they wanted, became much more depressed and suicidal as time passed. They're human wrecks at the moment I am writing. I remember them ambitious and hopeful pre-transition, way less depressed and not so self destructive.
If you identify as transgender and haven't started hrt, there is a way out. I've had severe dysphoria for years and successfully battled it, not in sight for about 2 years now and getting better and comfortable with my genitals. What social media and manipulated documentaries tell you isn't real life, and people who are transgender and claim they love their new bodies are usually fresh after starting to take hormones (in the phase of confidence and euphoria) or in denial since they can't deal with the thought of making a grave mistake. If suicide rate really is 40%, then from observation, I'd say 40% is depressed and in denial and 20% genuinely content.
Doctors who encourage transition don't want you to be happy, they crave money and that's not a conspiracy theory looking at the corruption in the field and how much you have to pay to get operated. The vision of becoming happy and content with yourself is what pushes people to transition, then bursts like a bubble and I've seen this too many times. I don't have a reason to lie.
