Making your content cheaper actually brings you more. While not exactly the same (he doesn't make comics), Rnarccus only charges 3 USD per month for ALL his work, including ALL his past work. The past few months, he's been getting nearly 5,000 USD per month and is 6th top Patreon adult drawing according to Graphtreon. How many of those with 20+ USD paywalls can say as much?
I'm all for supporting artists. I've supported a few different ones these past for months but none of them asking for over 10 USD per month is actually worth that. It's not a few high paying clients that brings the most. It's a lot of small payers that do, that's why microtransactions work so well in games and applications.
