cos good and evil were losing favour as simple concepts to describe complex problems, or even regular life that can be described as a problem
I blame america's relative lack of history and culture, there has to be some foundation of personality in people's minds early on, something strong to build off of
but because america's is shallow enough, it can be destroyed by talking about slavery involvement, and there isn't much beyond it as it s a newish country
and cos they focus so much on positive or negative it gives a foothold to simple-minded normies who are already coddled there, and too ignorant to know how much they don't know
they presume the reason all these complex problems haven't been fixed is because the world was waiting for them to come along and fix it
if only they'd stayed in the british empire we would have filled their big mouths up with tea and crumpets until they didn't know what's what :)
