About new guys, they started last month adding guys from event we did not have back at the start. To be more precise we missed 2 events in 2016 (halloween and christmas) 12 events, from February 2017 to January 2018. With December 2020 and this month's orgy days, they pulled out guys for xmas2016 and january 2018. It is to be expected new guys for all the orgy days of this 2021. (maybe with a double shot in October orgy days, if they don't want to wait for October 2022 randomly).
For a "new" player who missed a lot of events, I understand orgy days could seem a little harsh. My suggestion would be to avoid spending kobans for pricely guys you do not need (epic days guys and legendary days guys not of your class; try mythic of your class only if you have a stash of 18K+ kobans). For a while focus mainly in getting all the free guys in orgy days: with a larger harem you'll have a larger income, and a greater pool of guys to face champions and all the Places of power, that can give you useful free resources. If you do not intend to invest some money in it, you got to have some patience and give the game time.
