What is the scientific explanation behind lust? Why do we feel it? Why is it often an intrinsic and uncontrollable urge? It's as if we subconsciously have that drive to breed sexy individuals down to no end, yet we don't exactly know the how of it, why?

It's funny though, humans are theoretically at a disadvantage since having females that are larger than males are better for fertility (more eggs), thus better chances at good genetics for descendants, yet human women are slightly smaller than human men

Hopefully in near future we can extend our lifespans so much that reproduction becomes less important or at least find way to completely eliminate or block the desire caused by brain chemicals but still retain it as optional function when it is and needed and instead be free to perform complex mental tasks without any distractions
