If this light is from 14 billion years ago, shouldn't there just be a bright glow everywhere instead of complete galaxies?

But even in the far distance you see tiny individual specks of star clusters, I'd expect some difference from the front most galaxies and the far ones

oh yeah and the light from the actual 13.blah billion years ago is infrared outside the visible range because of redshift, so when we look in visible light we should see the ultraviolet
