>>14294487Its realistic in a sense that you'd have to discard some old notion of sense of self and adopt a radical/buddhist/parfit version imo. A self existence reliant not upon magical souls/consciousness but upon continuity of what you call the sense of self, aka the memories, the senses, the feelings, the name, the body, etc thats ever changing in a gradual way.
For example, imagine if you could replace 1% of your body to robotic part every year. That includes 1% of brain matter replaced with identical robotic parts. Eventually, with a 100% part, you'll get a technological immortality through complete transformation of mind/body with a 100% robotic mind/body.
