>>14214531If you can't explain why you need an expensive oscilloscope, you should not buy it. Every scope has its pros and cons. In my department Agilent and Tektronix are mainly used, they are all brilliant, but expensive even cheap ass ones cost 1k$ and up to 500k$ for high speed. Main Cost driver is bandwith. 20MHz are fairly cheap but should never be used for signals faster than 1MHz. The faster signals you want to measure the more expensive it gets. Look out for used digital scopes from the early 90s from tektronix, HP, lecroy and screen it for features you realy need.
