>>14134449That is true, that would be fucked. The definition of "conscience" unfortunately often shifts depending on the intelligence of a person, and it seems that the utilization of high intelligence relies upon emotional dampening, but I am not advocating for a lack of emotion. In fact, inarguable natural super-intelligence without being spergy is observed in history, such as with men like Aristotle and Da Vinci, so it is not unheard of, and may in fact be possible to achieve through artificial means.
Also, for a better frame of reference for what I was talking about, I meant "superhumans" as those whom are genetically healthy (traits like perfect eyesight, highest possible lifespan, high base skeletal-muscle mass, good fat proportions, perfect body proportions, higher 'intelligence' contributing subcomponents like lasting memory, etc). Other realistic modifications such as radiation resistance and sustained musculature in low gravity would be good.
Also, I was speaking about Mars being rapidly populated by humans and livestock for the sake of the argument, but not advocating for the intentional obsolescence of wombs. I think that these subjects can be approached reasonably, unless you're talking to a pure nihilistic utilitarian that pretends to rejects emotion.
