Even my own fingers confuse me.

nobody can distinguish more than 3. That's why the numbers 4 5 6 8 9 7 0 were invented and how to combine them but the number 123 is as remote from our mind as the dimension n=9. Before the invention of abstract numbers people counted 1 2 3 or many.

People also used the same name for green and blue, but I'm sure you can distinguish between the two. It's just how languages evolve

Not that guy, but the difference betwee green and blue is immediately apparent regardless of language. The difference between 122 and 123 is not. I don't agree with him that concrete comprehension of numbers stops at 3, but it does stop eventually.

I'd say it stars getting muddy at like 6 or 7, you can't really spot how many there are at a glance anymore. I have a stack of cookies in front of me, and I had to pay attention to see if there were 5 or 6 of them
