now, those mutations that ain't beneficial, like killing your host on the spot, would obviously die out, and humans will fight with everything they've got to keep really pesky diseases away from them, so yes, it's indeed reasonable to expect that the viruses with the biggest chance for survival are those that would make humans go "meh"
