if you have a population that is generally careful until the point you get vaxxed, you get infected, simple as. unvaxxed cannot partake in these activities by definition so they were left out in the mathematical equation. it's general consensus from the data that omicron is more contagious than delta. combined with the fact that people feel invincible with the vaccine regardless how big or small the actual immune response to it was, people get infected, because for infection person a needs to meet person b, which wasn't the that much the case during the lockdowns
