"The Science"

Why are people like this? Isn't Science about taking observations into hypotheses and testing them? If it works it works, if it doesn't it doesn't, and if it sometimes works and sometimes doesn't, it leads to more questions to explore.

In fact, if someone says the Earth is Flat, his empirical judgement shows us a flat Earth. But we can correct his judgement by taking him with us to see the night sky, go up and down latitudes and use the dance of the stars as it were positions on a sphere, proving it's sphericity. It's something far more comfy to do than erratically mock someone for believing what's wrong.

If the vaccine works, sometimes doesn't, why is it's debate discouraged? It is a foreign thing being forced upon us by institutions who aren't all that transparent anyway. Whether or not you are jabbed or support it is irrelevant, but isn't there at least a concern? And you call those who are curious or concerned "schizo."

/sci/ or not, this behavior's not a good look. Please grow up and stop going at each other's throats. The world is your canvas, and explore all questions you can. Science is not the end all be all neither is it "settled." It is a series of questions we ponder for its own sake.

Instead of arguing over trivial things, why aren't we spending more time trying to understand the physical world more? In particular our existence? One can also say "chemical soup" but this is an easy and all too convenient answer, and tells us nothing in same way as saying "Allah willed it therefore why."

Science is never settled, science is about questions and that's the beauty of it. It is a method, a means by which we know the world for our own sake or maybe to even protect ourselves.

I'm rather disappointed in this place honestly.
