Actual biggest questions:
Why do numerical invariants special to cohomology show up all over the integrals that arise in solving Feynman diagrams?
Why are physical constants what they are?
Why do some fundamental particles have the spin statistics that they have?
Why does the universe have the distribution of matter and density that it does?
Why does humanity have the cognitive behaviors that it has? Is a species possessing these behaviors the inevitable winners of any evolutionary process on neuron-based intelligence architectures?
What are consciouness and qualia?
What is the nature of the phase space of possible human minds and sensory inputs? Are there strange attractors in this space, and if so, what mental beliefs are they associated with?

I'll give em' all a shot without looking up anything:

1. maintenance of the body and preservation of resources
2. it was inevitable
3. to bring subconscious thoughts and realizations to the surface
4. as loose, abstract collections of 'pointers' to (parts of) recorded senses
5. it doesn't? There's a science reason I'm sure.
6. accumulated errors in the body's repair and maintenance, over time

Most of these are just the Anthropic Bias at work. The Universe is the way it is, because the beings inside it have described it that way. Physics isn't how the Universe actually WORKS, it's just humanity's shorthand.
