t. somebody that has no idea about Europe
People in Belgium and Netherlands (and many nordic countries) have to do PHDs after graduating medical school because its that hard to find a spot.
This is retarded beyond belief, and if you are really suggesting that this is better than being a doctor in Germany you are mentally ill.
Switzerland is based and I will move there once I finish my residency, but the reality is that the cost of living is so high there that its not even that worth it to move from Germany.>>13684694
The pay isn't even that good in these countries though. You are acting as if doctors in the Netherlands make the same as in the U.S. The reality is that a Doctor in private practice in Germany and in Netherlands (or nordic countries) make very similar amounts.
The difference between the U.S. and some European countries (that the other anon posted about) is that even though the residency abusive, 95% of Doctors that studied in the U.S. go straight into residency after graduating.
You Americans can't even comprehend what it means to not get a residency after finishing med school. This is the normal life of a graduate in Netherland for example.>>13684819
Doing USMLE as someone without an American citizenship is the most retarded thing you can do, unless you live in the third world. The vast majority of places just straight out filter you out just based on having to do your visa.
Only ERAS costs you tens of thousands.
As a foreigner you have to settle for the worst of the worst residencies. Have fun being in a malignant program in some Ghetto in Chicago or New York.
Going from Switzerland to U.S. is dumb as fuck. 246 is not even that impressive, Pajeet mogs you hard with his 280.
