Token Nobels would be quite damaging to black progress. Never been a fan of these equality-of-outcome folks. As long as there's equality of opportunity, Nobels should be awarded on meritocratic grounds.

All Nobels are token because it is made by a biased council (back then and now) who have to decide what new thing is "more important". Nobel's were always subject to pressure and politics. They were never impartial and are also restricted to several fields. A guy literally discovering fucking aliens on ancient earth who geoformed it and proved it scientifically in how it was done and where would not get the prize because it would fall under geology.
