>>13373876like not even that. We dont have the technology for that also imagine how culture and philosophy changes just within 20 years how do you think a crew of 100 or 10,000 people awake are going manage without killing each other.
Likely what i think interstellar colonization would be is more scifi for where we are now,we are at least 500 years off from that technology.
ill give you an idea for how i think it will work best
1. an AI would be running the ship
2. we'd mostly have to ditch our human forms or become full cyborgs, since the human body wastes alot of critical resources. so we'd only wake up at our destination. if we make the cultural jump to uploading consciousness then we upload our consciousness unto the ships database.
3.if we still culturally value organic human life have a human embryo with artifical wombs that deploy on landing
4. the cyborg humans from (2) would wake up or the ones who had their consciousness digitized will get a body that was customized to the planets harshness to freely roam the planets surface. So basically they will just goto sleep on earth or wherever and wake up on the planet.
5. assuming most or some people on earth are for uploading their consciousness. The new planet would setup receivers and instead of waiting centuries or more to travel by ship they will just have their consciousness sent from one planet to another using the speed of light with a body waiting for them on arrival
